Review Process

OSCM uses a blind review process. After submission, each manuscript is screened by the editorial office and handling editor for fit, originality, and baseline quality. Papers that are not suitable for external review may be rejected at the editorial stage.

  1. Initial editorial screening checks scope, manuscript completeness, formatting, and publication ethics compliance.
  2. Suitable manuscripts are assigned to an editor and sent to two or more reviewers with expertise in the topic area.
  3. Reviewers evaluate the contribution, rigor, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript and submit recommendations through the OSCM system.
  4. The editor synthesizes reviewer feedback and communicates one of the editorial decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, resubmit, or reject.
  5. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers or assessed directly by the editor depending on the extent of the revision.

OSCM aims to keep the review process constructive and academically rigorous. Authors should respond carefully to reviewer feedback and provide a clear revision summary when resubmitting.
